A New Park

Germantown Metro Park - love

I prayed for a warmer day... and God surely did deliver. We headed out at 10am, the kids and me, to Germantown Metro Park... the temps were already in the upper thirties. By the time noon rolled around it was in the low forties and we were able to really enjoy walking around and looking at all the gorgeous scenery.

Germantown has had it's metro park for, what seems like, forever... but besides a quick drive thru once or twice I really hadn't been to visit it. It was cool. there is a huge dam and lots of hiking trails. there is a big overlook tower that the kids loved. A nature center - it was closed but it looks awesome - and it was a nice change. I still like Hueston Woods better, but it sure is fun discovering a new place.

One of the trails we walked today was a a really short one, but the whole thing was like a big bridge, they have it closed in really nicely so that you don't have to worry about one of your babies falling off, it was relaxing and the kids really loved it!

I cannot wait to go back in the spring!!
